Here is an excellent debut of dungeon black metal from a new Ukrainian one-man band, Nightspell.
An act that pursues entirely the second wave black metal style, sometimes even slightly foraying into atmospheric lands, but finishing on a moderately harsh note. While the black metal elements are well-executed, this record truly shines in its outermost tracks, where Nightspell delves into dungeon synth. These tracks showcase a talent for crafting melancholic and evocative soundscapes, reminiscent of exploring forgotten crypts and desolate landscapes. This unexpected turn is a pleasant surprise and demonstrates its versatility.
